local staff kindness, beautiful decor, pleasant pool area
Management issues throughout our stay!!! Hot water outages and dark, cold rooms were frustrating. Limited indoor space due to owner's family monopolizing areas!!! Navigating to the center was inconvenient and could be safer at night!!!

Complete contrast to the streets outside. Very luxurious and serene inside. Noisy and grubby outside. Comfortable room and bed. Excellent breakfast. Took a cookery lesson to fill in a few hours before leaving for airport, interesting but could have been more involved, but shows how simple it is to make a chicken tagine!
TV in room not working. Staff tried to fix but failed. Like lots of riads in medina difficult to find, could do with further signposting from Main Street. Especially in dark.

We truly loved everything, when we arrived we were delighted for the good taste of the decoration of the riad and the sympathy of the staff. We were recieved with a mint tea and marroccan sweets which made us immediatly taste a little of marrakech. The truth is that we loved our stay at riad Charai and when we come back to Marrakech we plan on comming back to stay there. The breakfast was good, the room was very nice (we stayed at double room Safran which i truly reccommend) but if we return to marrakech i would go to Indigo Suite.. it was so beautiful and amazing. We also did a wonderful one hour massage at the spa of the riad which we enjoyed a lot and wich i also recommend. I was a little affraid of the distance from the city center (jma el fna) but that was never a problem.. we went by taxi all the time and we payed always 40 dinhams, 3euros, and and we could go walking everywhere if we wanted.. so dont be afraid of that. Book the hotel picking up service from the airport, its very good and very necessary as its tricky to arrive tge first time!!! we loved riad charai and planning to go back!!

The breakfast spread was good, with traditional Moroccan dishes that changed daily, making each morning a treat.
The walk to the Medina took about 20-25 minutes, and the area can feel a bit unsafe at night without proper lighting.

I was shocked by the poor food quality. Breakfast was the same bland meal every day. I had to duck under doorways-like, really? And don't even get me started on the mattress. I expected a plush upgrade, but instead got a ridge right down the middle. Almost gave a good review but just couldn't.

ideal base for exploring charming marakesh attractions
i enjoyed my stay, as the hotel is just a pleasant stroll away from both the fine jardin majorelle and the vibrant dar bellarj, making every walk an enchanting experience filled with local sights and sounds.

missingWrote a review on 01 Novcharming roomsdelicious diningwater pressure
Charming rooms with unique decor, great for immersing in local culture. Refreshing dining options like flavorful lamb tagine and chicken kebabs are available for pre-order.
Water pressure in bathrooms can be a hassle at times. The suites lack full-length mirrors, contrasting with the standard rooms, and some might find the absence of in-room coffee/tea inconvenient.

Packed with surprises, Good and Bad
Very nice food experience! The staff were beyond lovely, eager to remember names and provide personalized service. Our room was immaculate and beautifully decorated. The pool area was like a storybook retreat.
Navigating back to the riad can be a bit daunting, especially at night. The absence of printed menus and some local scammers can be frustrating while exploring the area.
